If there is one thing that is important to Porsche, it is competition. It is an integral part of the Zuffenhausen company, it is even its DNA.
And this Porsche has understood in the creation of its new 911 Gt3 Cup

Based on the eighth generation 911 (992), this GT3 Cup is the sharp version of the GT3 road car.
Porsche had already hit the sports car scene hard with this 992 GT3, faster than its predecessors but above all crushing the competition with a car clearly off the track.
But this racing version is a new notch above, the old versions 991, 997 wanted "close" to the road version, with this "cup" Porsche wanted to create a real weapon.
The 6 cylinders are pushed to 510 horsepower, the aerodynamics is reworked in depth, the PDK gearbox (Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe) is replaced by a 6-speed gearbox and the car is completely emptied, making it go on the scale to a total weight of 1260 kilos or 200 kilos less than the road version.

Porsche's goal with this model is not simply to race, but to win the race, whether it is entered by the factory itself in races such as the Nürburgring 24 hours or by private teams in smaller championships, this 911 must create a climate of fear on the track.
Moreover, the German manufacturer has drawn inspiration from the chassis of its 911 RSR to rework the front end of the Cup, suffering from some steering problems on the generation 991, the 992 Cup corrects this considerably.
Finally to show that a car is accomplished there is only one way to do it, let the chrono.... speak and what the chrono says is that Porsche has not been idle.
3 seconds separate the previous generation from this 992 on the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, this is due to the Flat 6 taking 9000 rpm, but also as said before this work done on the front end making it sharper, more aggressive allowing a total confidence in the car.

The rear end is not left out either, on the Spa circuit this 911 allows much higher curve passages due to this huge spoiler that literally screws the car to the ground.

Here the front end of the Martinet by Almeras Cup in preparation for the next race.
Equipped with the famous hydraulic lifting system of the car.
If Porsche has been the reference in sports cars or racing cars for generations, it is for a good reason, it is because their DNA comes from the track, that these cars live the track, read it while keeping a perfect confidence in the car for the driver no matter the conditions
