We live in a time where the race to develop supercars has become routine! It must be said that most manufacturers are participating in this race and are trying to stand out.

While the "electrification" of cars is becoming more and more common, there are (fortunately) still cars that are offered in 100% thermal.

As for the supercar of the day, it's from Italy: it's not Ferrari but Lamborghini.

You probably know the car, it's the Lamborghini Huracan Performante:

It was necessary to propose a version even more cut for the track than the Huracan. The Gallardo's replacement was a hit: 10,000 units produced in 7 years compared to 14,000 in 10 years! This model became the 2nd most sold by the brand.

As you can imagine, the Performante is based on the classic Huracan, the Italian engineers have revised everything: engine, aerodynamics, materials, etc.

The 5.2L V10 engine increases from 610 hp to 640 hp (at 8000 rpm) and develops 625 Nm of torque (at 6500 rpm). With its 1340 kg, it offers a weight/power ratio of 2.16 hp/kg!

Such an engine allows the Huracan Performante to go from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 s and 0 to 200 km/h in 8.9 s! And a top speed of 325 km/h.

The Huracan Performante set a record on the Nürburgring on the Nordschleife (over 20km): 6:52:1.

The design does not allow the discretion of the beast, with strong lines making the car brutal, an imposing and very low profile, forged carbon parts: for those who do not know, they are carbon fiber fragments impregnated with epoxy resin. The result is quite nice:

As for the chassis, Lamborghini opted for aluminum and carbon.

The supercar also embeds an aerodynamic optimization system: the ALA (acronym meaning wing in Italian) for Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva. A system that is completely integrated into the design of the vehicle to improve air penetration. The carbon front spoiler integrates an electric motor.

It is also necessary to be able to stop the beast, it is done for Lamborghini which promises a braking from 100 to 0 km/h in 31m. The carbon ceramic discs are not for nothing. For the anecdote, tires have been specially designed: Pirelli P-Zero Corsa.

Inside, the environment is simple, clean and structured. A cockpit that highlights carbon-forged, alcantara, a nice red cover hosting a button that just needs to be pressed to make the V10 roar.

As far as pricing is concerned, the Performante is offered at more than 230,000 euros (not counting the ecological penalty, which amounts to 10,000 euros for the basic Huracan version).
