The XXI century has given birth to fabulous cars combining technology and performance. It is also the century of the race to extraordinary performances: speed, horses, etc. This is still the case today, but the environmental standards could not have given life to the monster we are going to present you today. As you read in the title, it is the F12 TDF designed by Ferrari:

For Ferrari, it was necessary to find a replacement for the 599 GTO which was also a great car. But this last one will not be satisfied to replace it! It will pay homage to the Tour de France (car eh?), which for those who do not know was an endurance competition that was dominated by the Italian manufacturer in the 50s and 60s (with the 250GT undefeated for 9 years!). So it was necessary to develop a car that could fulfill the expectations of Ferrari but also of the lovers of the brand. And it is in October 2015 that the Italian manufacturer presents this supercar.

And in Maranello no room for jokes, they even announce it as an ultimate version in all areas, with ease on the track and on the road.
You will have understood, the badge TDF for Tour de France and F12 because the concept is based on the F12 berlinetta.

This car is crazy! Look at that face! The aerodynamic details, the rims, the color, everything is crazy on this car! Imposing shapes, aggressive but not excessive, letting transpose an Italian sensuality.

Based on the F12 Berlinetta, there was work to do to make the concept crazy.
The race for performance is often synonymous with weight savings in motorsports. The door panels were reduced to a single carbon fiber shell, no more glove box, alcantara instead of leather, aluminum floor mats...

The design is not everything of course, the engine is the key to this concept. Indeed this F12 TDF embarks a small V12 of 6.3L (the same as on the Twingos of every day), no more jokes, this engine signed of the prancing horse develops 780 hp at 8500 rpm and a torque of 705 Nm at 6750 rpm!

As for the transmission, a dual clutch gearbox for F1, it's not a joke! A total weight of 1.4 t unladen has been measured.
This beauty reaches a top speed of 340 km/h and goes from 0 to 100 km/h in only 2.9s!

This marvel was produced in 799 copies, more than the 599 GTO! Today, the price of this car has risen, and prices on the second hand market vary between 800,000 euros and 2 million euros depending on the mileage.

Magnificent example present at the MEETT on the occasion of the car show of 2022.
